Is public viewing available?

Is public viewing available?

Yes: Physical viewing of lots is available for all public auctions at the associated salerooms. NOTE: Lots are sold as seen, with no guarantees or warranties and include second-hand items, retail returns, ex-display and seized assets.

All lots including vehicles can be physically assessed, if you are unable to do so to your own satisfaction please do not bid.

Children aged 15yrs and under will not be allowed inside the salerooms.

Where do lots come from?

Lots originate from many sources inc. customer returns, bankrupty, ex-display & repossessions. Clients from high street retailers and Banks to Insolvency Practitioners & Receivers.

No goods at auction are sold as being new, working, complete, guaranteed or fit for any purpose. All lots are strictly Sold as Seen.

Yes: All lots are subject to the addition of Buyers Premium (20%) then the further addition of VAT (unless otherwise stated) incurred on the total. Examples Below;

£100 bid on a lot with VAT: Y & 20% BP (eg. a laptop) = £144 invoice total

£100 bid on a lot with VAT: N & 20% BP (eg. a car) = £124 invoice total

Payment Methods

Debit Card or Credit Cards* at our Salerooms, chip & pin only / On-line by Debit or Credit Card* / Cash only at our Nottingham Salerooms or Bank Transfer (bank details sent with invoices) – No Cheques Accepted.

Online Payments

Online Payments

A hour or so after All bidding has ended on a particular auction your invoice will be emailed directly (pdf file) along with references. Invoices are also placed online for on-line payment, see below for other payment methods.

To pay on-line please log back using the account details you bid with and click on ‘My Invoices’ in the top menu – https://www.johnpyeauctions.co.uk/ (for general auctions) or https://vehicles.johnpye.co.uk/ (for vehicles).

Collections & Couriers

Collections & Couriers

Goods must be collected directly from the associated salerooms between 9am and 4.30pm weekdays unless otherwise stated (see Sale listings for deadlines, usually 1 or 2 days after sale end). We do not deliver, but we do accept collection by couriers. If you intend to use a courier (eg. DHL, Parcelforce), you must send a packaging request to the relevant saleroom after payment of the invoice has been made (Click Here to send a Packaging Requests) please Do Not Book until you have received confirmation from the salerooms with the weights & dimensions of the package(s).

Condition of the Vehicles

Condition of the Vehicles

All vehicles are strictly Sold As Seen. Lots can be physically assessed during viewing but carry no guarantees or warranties.

ATF Listed Vehicles

Bidding is open to trade and public but there are a fraction of lots listed as ‘ATF’ Vehicles, these particular vehicles can only be legally sold directly to Authorised Treatment Facilities and have no V5s.

Deposits & Payments

Deposits & Payments

For vehicle auctions a £200 refundable deposit is required to secure bids, full payment and vehicle removals by the deadline. Deposits are not deducted from invoice totals but are refunded upon request by emailing deposits@johnpye.co.uk or can be left on the account for future bidding. Strict vehicle payment & removal deadline by 4pm the day after auction.

Collection & ID Requirements

Collection & ID Requirements

Proof of ID – 2 x Forms of ID inc. 1 x Photo ID and a Utility Bill less that 3 months old are required prior to release of vehicles. Strict payment & removal deadline by 4pm the day after auction.

NOTE: Any vehicles purchased will be registered to the buyer’s name and address as registered on the account, vehicles cannot be put under other names.
